  • (Advanced) 4 basic parameters: hand shape, palm orientation, location, movement
  • Hands-on display of equipment used by the Deaf Community in daily life
  • How you can use the Arizona Relay Service to telephone a deaf friends
  • Remarkable Deaf History in the United States
  • Narrative of renowned deaf-blind woman Helen Keller and her legacy

Program also includes

  • Signing Time: with ‘Telly the Teaching Time Clock’ and interactive stories.
  • Topics: "What is Deaf?" "How do My Ears Work?" "How to Safeguard Hearing"
  • Fun with animal signs (a favorite), ‘Hearing Dogs’ and Koko the Signing Gorilla
  • Why is that lady following the deaf kid into class? (aka: What is an interpreter)
  • Appropriate behavior towards fellow deaf/hearing-impaired students
  • Age-targeted story books about deaf children and/or their siblings and families
