Brief Biographical Information
- Third generation Arizonan with strong ties to north Phoenix
- Sunnyslope High School graduate
- Attended and graduated from all three Arizona universities
- District 3 resident for a total of more than 25 years
- Long-time family connections to the Maricopa District
- Pam’s mother graduated from Phoenix College in 1935
- Pam’s uncle, Robert Jaap, served on the original 1962 Maricopa Community College District Governing Board and was the
Governing Board’s first president.
- Pam and her family have a strong educational background, and she is very familiar with the education issues facing all of us today.
- Her mother was an elementary school teacher in North Phoenix.
- Both of her adult children teach in Arizona high schools
- Pam has over 30 years high school and college teaching and educational leadership experience
